Welcome!
Greetings loyal readers. The Review was originally launched in late 2002 as a small micronational newspaper, one of many that at various times have dotted the internet and the micronational community. With the support of many friends, contributers and readers The Review flourished with the website eventually recording several thousand hits and the subscriber list sprawled out of control.
In April 2003 I was lucky enough to become the Kingdom of Hanover's second Prime Minister and a member of her first democratically elected Prime Minister. Alas an offshoot of this was that all my free time was consumed, I could no longer write The Review let alone keep a close on on the tens of micronations I reguarly reported on. And so The Review was mothballed.
It has long been my intent to return to publishing The Review, I continue to recieve positive feedback from readers who invariably lament The Review's decline. I have long assured them that I would return when I found the time, or a decent way to make publishing The Review more efficient. (it often seemed in a traditional publication of set issues readers were alergic to committing as fellow journalists).
I believe I may have devised a way to publish to the high standards my readers expect in the most efficient manner possible (you have no idea who much time was chewed on the web site each week) and still catering to the needs of readers who prefer a weekly or monthly report rather than having to continually check a newswire.
A weblog allows for ease of publication, publication when and how it suites potential journalists, and with the fortnightly publication of email digests I hope that in re-launching The Review I will best meet the needs of The Review's many and varied readers.
I encourage everyone to become involved as a journalist, your input will make this publication a truly comprehensive micronational news source.
I trust you will enjoy reading The Review as much as I continue to enjoy writing.
Sincerely,
Kieran Bennett
-Editor
